FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: used to form panoramic spatial images. The device includes a tribrach, a camera, a camera rotation unit, a digital image processing unit, and a control unit. With the help of a tribrach, the camera is leveled so that its image plane is located vertically and it is possible to form an array of images of surrounding objects on it, obtained with a given angular step after each rotation of the camera around the vertical axis, segmentation of these images by color, detection of identical segments in photographs, having an area of mutual overlap, and determining the centers of these segments in the coordinate system of photographs, while the distance to the segment on the photograph is calculated from the expression:
where ω is the angle of rotation of the camera; x1 is the abscissa of the segment center on the first image; x2 is the abscissa of the center of the segment in the second picture;ƒ is the focal length of the camera.
EFFECT: allowing to measure the distances to surrounding objects, as well as their individual parts that differ in color, by digitally processing the photographs obtained by this device.
