FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is developed in order to prevent the development of auditory function disorders in a person exposed to noise, for example, in workers of noise-hazardous professions. To do this, a course of inhalations is carried out, consisting of 10 sessions lasting 30 minutes each, one session before entering the noise-hazardous area for 10 working days. Inhalations are carried out with a normobaric oxygen-helium-argon mixture containing 20.5+/-0.5% oxygen, 49.5+/-0.5% helium, 29.5+/-0.5% argon supplied to respiration from a gas cylinder through a reducer and a flow regulator into a semi-open respiratory circuit with a viral-bacterial filter/heat exchanger, guide valves and a facial oronasal mask.
EFFECT: method ensures the preservation of the acquired effect of otoprotection from the dangerous consequences of being in the zone of noise exposure with an intensity of up to 95 dB for at least one month after the completion of the course.
