METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DISORDERS IN THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2780164 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for diagnosing diseases of the musculoskeletal system using machine vision. A method is proposed in which, initially, a database is formed in the source data module, which includes encyclopedic, scientific and practical knowledge about the etiology and pathogenesis of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, means and methods for their treatment, as well as a database of images of reference diagnostic exercises, myofascial and functional diagnostics of musculoskeletal system abnormalities with an atlas of the reference values of the degrees of freedom of the joints, then the stages of collecting the anamnesis of human life, the anamnesis of the disease, myofascial, functional and program diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system, with the formation of a recommended list of specialized kinesiotherapeutic exercises for the correction and treatment of identified deviations in the functionality of the patient’s musculoskeletal system, while at the stage of program diagnostics of the state of the musculoskeletal system, images of the patient performing diagnostic exercises are obtained, according to which, using machine vision technology, a three-dimensional model of the patient is constructed in a frame, including the designations of the location of key joints in the image of the patient’s musculoskeletal system in the form of reference points on his skeletal model, while evaluating the spatial position of these points and determining the degrees of freedom of the patient’s joints by their angular movements relative to each other, after which the obtained values of the degrees of freedom of the joints are compared with the values of the degrees of freedom of the joints specified in the atlas of reference values of degrees of freedom of joints, and based on the deviations obtained, a recommended list of specialized kinesiotherapeutic exercises is formed on the basis of the generated database for the correction and treatment of identified deviations in the functionality of the patient’s MSS.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of diagnostics and the accuracy of determining disorders in the musculoskeletal system.
