FIELD: computer technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology, more specifically to methods for generation of random bits. The method includes stages, at which: a flow of charge carriers crossing the specified quantum barrier with a tunnel transition is generated, while the flow of charge carriers performed the tunnel transition has an instant level, change of which occurs randomly due to fluctuations in quantum tunneling, and forms a primary signal; a primary bit sample with the first number of n bits is obtained from the specified primary signal, while the first number of n bits is an integer; random is extracted from the primary bit sample with the formation of a random bit sample, while the random bit sample contains the second number of m bit, which is less than the first number of n bits, while the specified extraction is carried out by calibration data containing at least a value of quantum contribution of the specified fluctuations in quantum tunneling in the specified primary bit sample, and a value of external contribution in the specified primary bit sample.
EFFECT: increase in the quality and increase in the speed of generation of a random bit sequence.
