SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telemetry, communication engineering and can be used in systems for transmitting information over digital communication channels. Disclosed is a discrete information transmission system, which comprises, on the transmitting side, information source 1, digitizer 2, sample values converter 3 by modulus (2n-1), sample values converter 4 by modulus (2n+1), first threshold level former 5, first adder 6, difference samples converter 7, sample converter 8, first and second amplitude/code converters 9 and 10, communication channel 11, and on the receiving side – first and second code/amplitude converters 12 and 13, differential sample reducer 14, converted samples first reducer 15, second threshold level former 16, converted samples second reducer 17, second adder 18, low-pass filter 19, and information receiver 20.
EFFECT: high accuracy of transmitting information at fixed values of the dynamic range of values of the primary signal and the probability of error per bit in the communication channel.
