SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mountaineering, including industrial, and in particular to equipment for belaying, positioning and moving along a rope, tensioning ropes, ropes and lifting loads along them. The claimed effect is achieved by the fact that the self-locking belay-rappelling device contains a body, a rope blocking system and a rope guidance system, while on the working surface of the body a carrier element is installed vertically along the axis of symmetry, on both sides of which two mirror-symmetrical working areas are formed for two respectively independent ropes; moreover, on both sides of the skeleton on the body there are control levers related to the rope blocking system; wherein each control lever contains a cam and is pivotally mounted on the body with the possibility of pressing the rope by the braking surface of the cam to the frame when the lever is released and the cam is pressed from the carrier element to release the rope when the lever is pressed. The rope guidance system includes a spring block and fixing rods, as well as locking rotary plates and front stationary plates symmetrically located relative to the frame. The spring block, consisting of a type-setting body and spring-loaded rods, is rigidly fixed in the upper part of the carrier element on the protrusion of its working face. Locking rotary plates are pivotally mounted on the housing with the possibility of their closing by rods in the spring block. Locking rods connect the locking pivot plates to the body and serve to kink and slide the ropes. On the back side, the body is reinforced with upper rear and lower rear plates.

EFFECT: increasing the strength and reliability of a self-locking belay-rappel device.
