FIELD: fat-and-oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fat-and-oil industry, in particular to methods for determining the content of glycerin and its derivatives in vegetable oil and fats. The method for determining the content of free glycerin, mono- and diglycerides in vegetable oils and fats includes preparation of the test sample, sampling for analysis, analysis of the components of the analyzed sample in a capillary column with a stationary phase by gas chromatographic separation on a flame ionization detector, construction of a chromatogram, determination of the content of the components being determined. Preparation of the test sample is carried out by mixing them in an amount of 100-110 mg with solutions of 1,2,4-butantriol, tricapin in pyridine and N,O-bis (trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide taken in an amount of 100 µl each, mixing the resulting mixture for 15 seconds, holding it for 15 minutes at a temperature of 20-25°C, adding n-heptane and stirring for 15 seconds, additionally preparing and analyzing calibration solutions, building a chromatogram of calibration graphs for each component based on the obtained data (glycerin, mono-, diglycerides).
EFFECT: increase in the degree of accuracy of the quantitative content of the components being determined.
