METHOD FOR PRESERVING THE AMNIOTIC MEMBRANE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A01N1/02

Abstract RU 2780475 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to ophthalmology, and can be used to preserve the donor amniotic membrane intended for transplantation in the course of ophthalmic surgical interventions. Method for preserving the amniotic membrane of the donor placenta includes washing the amniotic membrane and treating in an amphotericin-containing solution of antibiotic agents, laying the amniotic membrane on sterile paper, cutting into disks and placing in a glycerin-containing medium for storage. The amniotic membrane is washed with Ringer's solution. Then the membrane is placed in Ringer's solution containing 100 mg/ml sodium oxybutyrate, then in 0.01% chlorhexidine in saline, followed by treating with a solution of antibiotic agents in saline containing 0.25 mg/ml amphotericin B, 0.1 mg/ml ciprofloxacin, and 0.25 mg/ml ceftriaxone. After that, the amniotic membrane is held in a solution containing glycerin with dimethyl sulphoxide in a 4:1 ratio and sodium oxybutyrate 10 mg/ml. Baking paper is used as sterile paper for laying the amniotic membrane, and the membrane is stored in a solution containing glycerin with dimethyl sulphoxide in a 4:1 ratio and 10 mg/ml sodium oxybutyrate at a temperature of 12 to 18°C below zero.

EFFECT: proposed method for preserving the amniotic membrane of the donor placenta improves the functional quality of the biological material due to the preservation of the native properties thereof.
