FIELD: aviation technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation technology and is intended to study the process of opening a parachute in a wind tunnel and determine the main characteristics of filling the dome. The device contains a holder on which a container chamber with a pilot parachute is fixed, the tested parachute is placed in the chamber, the slings of which are connected through a disk, a swivel and a strain gage by a flexible link with a load placed in the fairing outside the flow. Through the pole holes of the pilot and test parachutes, through the chamber, disk and swivel, a horizontally stretched supporting cable attached to the holder is passed along the stream. Magnetic marks are applied to the flexible link, it passes through rings attached to a supporting cable and through an inductor included in the measuring circuit. High-speed video cameras installed in the longitudinal and lateral planes are used.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the dynamic load when opening the parachute and the time of filling the parachute by taking into account the effect on the process of opening the mass of the load attached to the parachute, determining the path of filling the parachute.
