FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermoelectric energy conversion, namely to a thermoelectric conversion device made of silicon-containing material and to its manufacturing method. The thermoelectric device includes active elements containing thermoelectric materials of silicon, silicon alloy, metal silicide, or silicon composite, and an interconnection zone consisting of a metal interconnection and a recrystallized phase consisting of material of active thermoelectric elements. The metal interconnection is created from metal, which does nor form metal silicides in a solid state, has certain solubility for components of thermoelectric elements in a liquid phase and low solubility of these components in a solid phase. Active thermoelectric elements are given with a shape with the first and the second contact interfaces. The interconnection between different thermoelectric elements consists of at least two material phases, one of which is mainly material of the metal interconnection, and the other is formed by recrystallized components of thermoelectric materials.
