SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new method for producing chiral nicotine from chiral tert-butanesulfinamide, which includes the steps listed below: condensation of 3-pyridine carboxaldehyde with tert-butanesulfinamide in the presence of titanate; and then the reaction (1,3-dioxane-2-ylethyl)magnesium bromide; cyclization in an acidic environment; in conclusion, the production of chiral nicotine after reduction and methylation of amine.
EFFECT: a new method for producing chiral nicotine has been developed, which has a short reaction path and uses chiral tert-butanesulfinamide as a feedstock, which is easily accessible and inexpensive, and there is no need for an expensive or complex chiral catalyst, reaction processes and technological operations at individual stages are simple, and the yield and magnitude of the enantiomeric excess of chiral the nicotine obtained as a result of the reaction is high, the production cost of chiral nicotine is reduced.
