FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to isolated polynucleotide for control of infestation of coleoptera insect pests. An expression cassette, a recombinant expression vector, and a composition containing the specified polynucleotide are also disclosed. The use of the specified polynucleotide, a method for control of infestation of coleoptera insect pests, and a method for increasing plant resistance to Monolepta hieroglyphica, using the specified polynucleotide, a method for obtainment of a plant resistant to Monolepta hieroglyphica, using the specified polynucleotide, are disclosed.
EFFECT: invention allows for effective control of infestation of coleoptera insect pests.
