SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to isolated polynucleotide for the inhibition of growth of Monolepta hieroglyphica insect pest. Ribonucleic acid, a composition, an expression cassette, and an expression vector containing the specified polynucleotide are also disclosed. The use of the specified polynucleotide for the suppression of infestation of Monolepta hieroglyphica insect pest, a method for the suppression of infestation of Monolepta hieroglyphica insect pest, and a method for increasing the plant resistance to Monolepta hieroglyphica insect, using the specified polynucleotide, are disclosed.
EFFECT: invention allows for effectively combating Monolepta hieroglyphica insect pest.
