FIELD: dental equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dental equipment, namely to dental handpieces, and is intended for use in dental procedures in a doctor's office. A handpiece is used, containing a handle and a housing with an optical radiation source in the form of at least one LED connected to an electrical power source, while it is equipped with an optical sensor that can be connected to visual display means. The body of the tip variant has a second LED connected to an electrical power source, while it is equipped with a second optical sensor, configured to be connected to visual display means. The body has transparent protective windows for each optical sensor, the tip has a means for supplying compressed air to each transparent protective window, the housing has openings for supplying compressed air to each transparent protective window connected to the compressed air supply means, and in each hole there is a diffuser, which configured to create an air jet forming an air curtain.
EFFECT: use of the tip makes it possible to provide reliable protection of optical sensors due to the implementation of an air curtain and to obtain a high-quality three-dimensional image; using optical sensors, it is possible to stitch a 3D model with CT images, which makes it possible to see the hidden cavities of the tooth and understand how the cutting tool is located relative to them.
