FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for monitoring the steel production process. The steel production apparatus is loaded with the materials Mn, where each material has the corresponding properties PMn for producing steel and slag, wherein the coefficient n is greater than or equal to 2. At least one set of set characteristics TCSY of the produced liquid steel is determined; at least two set characteristics of the slag STX are determined; for each set characteristic of the slag STX, the amount AMYX of materials needed to be loaded to achieve said at least one determined set of set characteristics TCSY is calculated, with account to the corresponding properties of each material PMn; wherein said amount AMYX of materials includes a separate amount aYXMn of each of the loaded materials Mn.
EFFECT: possibility, to take into account, in addition to flux and oxygen, the amount and properties of metal waste and hot metal in the composition of the charge in the production of steel, thereby ensuring the accuracy of modelling the process and expanding the possibilities of achieving the set composition of steel.
