SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing 2,3,5,6-tetraalkylpyrazines of interest as antiplatelet and antihyperglycemic drugs, estrogen receptor regulators, as well as important compounds for diagnostic medicine.
EFFECT: new method has been developed for the production of 2,3,5,6-tetraalkylpyrazines, which consists in the interaction of nitriles of the general formula R-C≡N with EtAlCl2 in the presence of magnesium (Mg, powder) and the catalyst Cp2TiCl2 at 60-65°C and atmospheric pressure for 12-18 hours, while the yield of 2,3,5,6-tetraalkylpyrazines is 60-91%.
