SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, surgery. The boundaries of resection of the tongue and soft tissues of the oral cavity are determined. Resection of the affected areas of the mucous membrane and the underlying muscle layer is performed sequentially. First, the mucous membrane is dissected. Next, a resection line is drawn. Then the muscle layer is dissected while maintaining the blood flow of the vessels. The resection is performed by means of a focused, continuous laser radiation with a wavelength of 970 nm. The power of laser radiation during the dissection of the mucous membrane is 25-35 W, the muscle layer - 55-60 W.

EFFECT: method allows minimizing organ injuries, providing reliable hemostasis, maintaining postoperative functionality, and reducing the length of stay of patients in the hospital.
