FIELD: ceramic refractory products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing ceramic refractory products from zircon, in particular to methods that include sintering blanks formed from zircon powders. The method includes the following steps: obtaining the initial technological block from the initial fine fraction of zircon with a particle size of not more than 10 microns; sintering the initial technological block to an apparent density of at least 2.76 g/cm3 and not more than 3.68 g/cm3; crushing the sintered technological block and separating the target coarse zircon fraction with a particle size of over 0.1 mm; obtaining the target mixture containing the target coarse and initial fine fractions of zircon. Billets are formed from the target mixture and sintered to an apparent density of more than 3.91 g/cm3. The mass fractions of the target coarse and initial fine fractions are 65–75 and 25–35 wt.%, respectively.
EFFECT: increasing the apparent density and reducing the open porosity of the zircon ceramic refractory product.
