SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a food product holder for use in an air fryer, in which the food product is cooked by means of hot air, which circulates at a relatively high speed through the specified food product and around it. The invention also relates to an air fryer equipped with such a food product holder. The food product holder for use in the air fryer contains an air-permeable lower part for support of the cooked food product and an installation structure for detachable installation of the food product holder in a chamber for cooking of the food product of the air fryer, so that passage of hot air is provided, which, when using, circulates in the chamber for cooking of the food product through the air-permeable lower part. Air-permeable lower part (12) contains peripheral area (A2) along the perimeter of the lower part, having medium air permeability, which is lower than medium air permeability of the rest lower part (A1), while width (W) of peripheral area (A2), measured between its outer and inner perimeters, is more than 3% of the total width of lower part (12). Moreover, air permeability or an openness coefficient of peripheral area (A2) and/or the rest lower part (A1) is adjustable.
