SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of defense against small-sized low-flying air targets. The method for fragmentation destruction of low-flying air targets includes converting a lustkugel into a fragmentation ball by replacing elements that form stars, comets and schwermers with a set of small ready-made striking elements (RSE) in an amount of more than 2000 pieces. and weighing from 0.1 to 1 g. Next, the launcher is equipped with fragmentation balls, the fragmentation ball is thrown to a certain height, where an explosion occurs, as a result of which a dense fragmentation field is formed. When an air target is in the area of fragmentation, it is affected. Using the simultaneous or sequential ejection of fragmentation balls from the launcher, it is possible to increase the density of the RSE fragmentation field.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of defeating small-sized low-flying air targets.
