SUBSTANCE: imaging device providing an increased depth of the depicted space contains an optical unit made with the possibility of simultaneously forming intermediate images of an object at different distances with the effect of blurring at least parts of the images of the object, and containing at least one optical element, and having at least two pupil zones formed in such a way as to provide a predetermined distribution of optical forces and aberrations within each of the pupil zones, on the basis of which the scattering function is formed, characterized by a curve with minimized lateral maxima, while each of the pupil zones corresponds to a given corresponding range of distances to the object and a given corresponding range of angles of the field of view, a receiver made with the possibility of simultaneous registration of intermediate images formed by an optical unit from different distances to the object and at different angles of the field of view, an image processing unit that is performed based on the obtained scattering function in a given range of distances and angles of the field of view, with the restoration at the output of the resulting images without the effect of blurring, regardless of the distance to the object.
