FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, and in particular to methods for producing metal powders of complex alloys with spherical particles, which can be used in powder and additive manufacturing. The method includes spheroidization of fragment-type powders in a thermal plasma flow. Fragmented powders are obtained from amorphous ribbons with a thickness of 40-60 mcm, which are annealed in vacuum conditions with a rarefaction of at least (1÷5)×10-5 Torr to a crystalline state for their embrittlement. After that, the crystalline, embrittled during heat treatment tapes are ground in a planetary ball mill in a pure alcohol medium and then a fraction of 40-100 microns is isolated by sieve analysis. Spheroidization is carried out in argon plasma or argon-hydrogen mixture.
EFFECT: obtaining powders with a high degree of sphericity and a narrow distribution of particle size distribution with a maximum yield of a given fraction after spheroidization, which reduces the amount of rejects in the manufacture of final products by additive technologies.
