FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: disc (1) for the formation of mineral fibers, in particular fiberglass, by means of centrifugation of molten material and its use in a process of the formation of fibers for glass wool or mineral wool are claimed. The disc contains peripheral wall (2) with holes (9) for passage of molten material and obtainment of fibers by means of extension during centrifugation, hub (3) connecting peripheral wall (2) to upper flange (6) for fixation of the disc in a fiber-forming device, cuff (4) extending peripheral wall (2) in a lower part of the disc and forming an angle β with it. The angle β is less than 87°.
EFFECT: increase in a service life of a disc for the formation of mineral fibers due to reduction in stresses in a side surface, which allows for slowing down crack formation.
