FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to methods for manufacturing plain bearings. A method for manufacturing a plain bearing with the possibility of diagnosing the limiting wear of the working surface includes mechanically applying a microrelief to the working surface of the bearing, made of antifriction material. The grooves and recesses are mechanically applied to the working surface of the plain bearing. The bearing is treated with compressed air. The bearing working surface is degreased. Wear indicators are installed in the grooves, and temperature sensors in the recesses. Wear indicators and temperature sensors are connected to the measuring system. Layers of a hard anti-friction coating are successively applied to the working surface of the bearing. Appropriate modes of polymerization of each layer are selected with time intervals during interlayer application at +20°C for at least 15 minutes. At the final application at +20°C for at least 120 minutes, then the working surface is lapped.
EFFECT: possibility of predicting the residual life of the bearing is achieved.
