FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular, to devices for monitoring the wear of plain bearings. The device contains a sleeve and a current source, a wear indicator. The sleeve is made of anti-friction material, in which the wear indicator is fixed. The wear indicator is made in the form of an open ring, the insulated part of which is deepened in the sleeve by an amount equal to the initial wear. The current source is connected to the wear indicator. The wear indicator is connected to the information display and processing unit. The wear indicator consists of a metal part enclosed in insulation. The wear indicator is connected by one wire to the positive poles of the current source and signal amplifier, and by the other wire to the negative poles of the current source and signal amplifier. The signal amplifier is connected through the third wire to the information display and processing unit.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and speed of the wear monitoring system.
