FIELD: video signal encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to video signal encoding/decoding technologies. A method for decoding a video signal is proposed. The method includes the step of generating a residual block of the current block by performing entropy decoding and inverse quantization on the video signal. Next, an analysis is made of a skip transform flag relating to whether a skip transform is applied to the current block based on the fact that the size of the current block is smaller than the predetermined first size. An index is obtained indicating one of the plurality of combinations of transformation kernels to be applied to the current block, based on the skip transformation flag, each combination of transformation kernels consists of a transformation kernel in the horizontal direction and a transformation kernel in the vertical direction.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of encoding/decoding video signal.
