FIELD: mining and geological technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mining and geological technologies and consists in a method for enrichment of rocks containing demantoid. The method for non-traumatic extraction of raw materials for jewelry demantoid from the ore mass by selective chemical etching includes the stage of washing the demantoid-containing ores with running water in order to remove contaminants, successively immersing the ores first in a solution of HCl with a concentration of 36%, chemically pure for 20 minutes to dissolve carbonates, washing the ore and then immersing in H2O2 solution with a concentration of 20%, H for 2 days for the disintegration of serpentinite, as well as washing the disintegrated rock with precipitation and subsequent extraction of demantoid crystals.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of careful extraction of individual crystals and intergrowths of demantoid, without causing “injuries” in the form of mechanical damage and cracks.
