FIELD: photocatalysts production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the production and use in the production of photocatalysts for the decomposition of organic substances and pollutants in the purification of water, air and other photochemical processes, in gas and optical sensors. The proposed photocatalyst contains a matrix based on amorphous silicon dioxide and an active component uniformly distributed in the matrix, in which the photocatalyst contains cobalt hydroxysilicate composition Co3(Si2O5)2(OH)2. The ratio of components in the photocatalyst is, wt.%: cobalt hydroxysilicate - 0.2-3.0; amorphous silicon dioxide - 97.0-99.8. The invention also relates to a method for producing the proposed photocatalyst.
EFFECT: development of a composition of a photocatalyst for the decomposition of organic compounds, providing an expansion of the range of currently used photocatalysts, while the photocatalyst can be obtained in a technologically simple and reliable way.
