FIELD: video encoding/decoding.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of a video encoding technology and, in particular, to a method for image decoding, a decoder, and a computer data carrier. A method for image decoding is proposed. The method contains a stage, at which a bit stream corresponding to the current image is obtained. Next, the bit stream is analyzed to obtain a flag corresponding to the current image. At the same time, a function of cross-decoding is turned off, when the decoding method specified with the flag is independent decoding of color components, while the function of cross-decoding allows for decoding based on a dependence between at least two of the first color component, the second color component, and the third color component.
EFFECT: reduction in complexity of video decoding and provision of flexible decoding process.
