SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image encoding means. Parameters for the current block are decoded. First encoding means is deactivated for the said current block if one or more of the following conditions are checked: second encoding means is used for said current block and a given condition is checked with respect to the decoded parameters. Said current block is decoded using said first encoding means if said first encoding means is activated. Deactivation of the first encoding means for said current unit, in case one or more of the following conditions are checked, provides for deactivation of bidirectional optical flow, in case multihypothesis coding mode is used for current block, combining interframe and intraframe prediction or deactivation of bidirectional optical stream, if the weight coefficients of the generalized bidirectional prediction are not equal to the default weight coefficients.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding images.
