FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method for the biodegradation of dehydroabietic acid is proposed, including the introduction of dehydroabietic acid at a concentration of 750-1000 mg/l into a cell suspension with a density of OD600 of 2.5 cells of the strain Rhodococcus rhodochrous RNCIM AS-2065 from the stationary phase of growth, washed from a power source, in phosphate-buffered saline pH 8.0 in equal portions after 8 and 16 days or after 8 and 17 days for 3 cycles of biodegradation.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of utilization of dehydroabietic acid at the stage of detoxification of wastewater from pulp and paper mills.
