FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to the production of plates made of hard alloy VK8 for cutting tools used for cold and hot machining of metals and alloys, for example, by cutting. The method for producing a plate from hard alloy VK8 for a cutting tool includes providing a plate sintered from hard alloy VK8, its cooling and heat treatment. A plate sintered from VK8 hard alloy at a temperature of 1350-1450°C is provided, which, after cooling, is subjected to heat treatment by aging in a graphite crucible in a GK-1 graphite filling at a temperature of 550-650°C and holding for 60-180 minutes.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of the VK8 hard alloy plate for the cutting tool.
