FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to laser processing in the manufacture and repair of various machines and mechanisms. The method for processing cutting inserts from T15K6 hard alloy includes laser processing of cutting inserts from T15K6 hard alloy using a continuous laser. Laser processing is carried out at a laser radiation power density of 0.5·106-1.5·106 W/m2, a laser beam propagation velocity of 0.5·10-2-1.5·10-2 m/s, while the beam diameter is 0.5 10-3-1.5 10-3 m, and the distance from the cutting edge of the plate to the place of irradiation is 0.5-1.0 mm; 1 at a temperature of 550-650°C and holding for 30-90 minutes.
EFFECT: wear resistance of cutting inserts made of T15K6 hard alloy is increased.
