FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to products from carbide-containing hard alloys used for cold and hot machining of metals and alloys, for example, by cutting. Heat treatment method of cutting plate from sintered carbide-containing hard alloy includes quenching and tempering. Double quenching is carried out, which includes first heating of cutting plate in salt bath furnace to temperature of 800 °C with holding for 2 minutes, transfer into a salt bath and heating to temperature of 1,150 °C with holding for 4 minutes and subsequent cooling in air, and then reheating in a salt bath furnace to 800 °C with holding for 2 minutes, transfer into a salt bath and final heating to temperature of 1,150 °C with holding for 4 minutes and subsequent cooling in air, tempering is performed once in salt bath at temperature of 600 °C for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: higher strength and hardness of carbide-containing hard alloys, as well as resistance of cutters made from such alloys.
