FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: after completion of phacoemulsification with implantation of an intraocular lens on the operated eye, 60 min later, visual acuity, intraocular fluid condition, position of the intraocular lens, presence of corneal edema, deviation of clinical refraction from a target one, and a value of the anterior-posterior eye axis by optical biometry data are assessed. With visual acuity with correction of at least 0.1 relative unit, absence of inclusions in intraocular fluid, impairments of the position or fixation of the intraocular lens, corneal edema, deviation of clinical refraction from the target one for no more than 1 diopter by a spherical equivalent, deviation of the value of the anterior-posterior eye axis by optical biometry data for no more than 0.33 mm compared with data of preoperative ultrasound determination, phacoemulsification with implantation of the intraocular lens on the paired eye is conducted.

EFFECT: invention provide an increase in clinical efficiency of immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery.
