FIELD: animal husbandry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to dairy cattle breeding. The number of voluntary visits by cows to the robotic milking machine is determined and cows are selected. After the second month of the first lactation in first-calf heifers, the average daily indicator of the number of voluntary milking on the robot for the second month of lactation is determined. Evaluation of cows is carried out through the coefficient of milking activity according to the formula: MC = MCact/MCmax., where MC is the coefficient of milking activity; MCact. - actual number of milkings; MCmax - the maximum possible number of milkings, cows are selected, the coefficient of milking activity of which is more than 0.5.
EFFECT: process of evaluating cows for suitability for a robotic milking system is simplified.
