FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for selecting cows for robotic milking and is characterized by the fact that in the herd first assesses cows-first calvers in 2–4 month of lactation by duration of milking and selected animals with milking duration of 3 to 6 minutes, then from this group selected cows, in which lactation intensity index in 2–4 lactation month exceeds average value of this group by 0.5 sigma (M+0.5σ), where M is arithmetic mean value of indicator; σ is mean square deviation of index.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of cow selection for robot technology of milk production with desirable functional properties of udder.
