FIELD: animal breeding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animal breeding, in particular to the technology of preparing heifers for lactation. Method of preparing heifers for robotic milking technology involves repairing a herd of heifers of 6-7 months of pregnancy taking into account their age and development. In the section for keeping heifers a milking robot box is installed without milking mechanisms and a washing installation, in which there is an automatic feeding trough for dispensing concentrated fodders, which is similar in design to a feeding trough in a milking robot box, in which animals will be milked after calving. Entrance and exit from the box of heifers is carried out by automatic gates with the help of animal identification means.
EFFECT: improved adaptation of first-calf heifers to milking robots at the beginning of lactation.
