FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to urology, reproductive medicine, andrology, laboratory diagnostics of the male factor of infertility, and can be used to predict ejaculate infertility in men. The concentration of tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is determined in the ejaculate of a man by the solid-phase enzyme immunoassay method. If the TNF-α value is above 11.7 pg/ml, infertility of the ejaculate is predicted. If the TNF-α value is from 0 to 11.7 pg/ml, the ejaculate is considered fertile.
EFFECT: lower labour intensity of the test, accessibility in settings of clinical diagnostic laboratories, higher accuracy of predicting ejaculate infertility in men due to the use of a quantitative criterion based on the results of laboratory examination of sperm.
