FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory research methods in the field of biochemistry, pathological physiology, andrology. Ejaculate samples are obtained by masturbation into a sterile disposable plastic container. After collection, the samples are left to liquefy at a temperature of 37°C for 30 minutes, the ejaculate is centrifuged for 10-15 minutes, the supernatant is transferred into a 96-well plate, the concentration of reduced formazan is determined in sperm plasma by colorimetric method at a wavelength of 450 nm, by which calculate the concentration of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide oxidized (NAD+). When the concentration of NAD+ is 91-120 nmol/106 spermatozoa, ejaculate fertility is diagnosed.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides an increase in the accuracy and specificity of the method by evaluating the redox potential of gametes.
