FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used in the production of technical silicon and ferrosilicon. The method for separating silicon from technical silicon slag in the form of an alloy of silicon and aluminum includes preparing a charge with the introduction of slag-forming components and a solvent, melting the charge and holding, cooling the melt and separating the metal phase from the slag, moreover, aluminum is used as a solvent, melting and holding are carried out at a temperature 1300–1400°C, calcium oxide and fluoride are used as slag-forming components, and a metal phase consisting of silicon and aluminum is obtained.
EFFECT: invention is directed to the extraction of silicon metal phase from silicon production slag in the form of an alloy of silicon and aluminum.
