SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of data processing and, in particular, to the encoding of video data. A method, a computer program and a computer system for encoding video data are proposed, in which video data containing one or more subimages are received, oversampling parameters and spatial scalability parameters corresponding to subimages are extracted. The oversampling and spatial scalability parameters correspond to one or more flags signaled in the parameter set associated with the video data. Video data is decoded based on the extracted parameters of oversampling and spatial scalability.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of encoding video data.
