FIELD: fishing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a fishing bait and a fishing bait. The method includes formation of the main solution containing water, gelatin, and sugar alcohol, at a temperature of at least 70°C. The main solution is boiled, evaporating water under negative pressure for regulation of a dry substance content in the main solution. A composition is formed by means of addition of a cross-linking agent to a volume of the main solution after water evaporation from the main solution, and the formed composition is poured in a mold to form a fishing bait. The bait has a water content from 10 to 15 wt. %. The bait contains the main solution containing water, gelatin, and sugar alcohol, while the main solution has a volume and at least one cross-linking agent in the volume of the main solution.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a bait for all types of fishing, including sport fishing and commercial fishing.
