METHOD FOR REDUCING THE LEVEL OF CLINICAL MATERIAL CONTAMINATION WHEN SOCULATED ON DENSE NUTRITIONAL MEDIA FOR ISOLATION OF MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS COMPLEX Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C12N1/04

Abstract RU 2786394 C1

FIELD: microbiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology. Described is a method for inhibiting the growth of concomitant bacterial-fungal microflora during cultivation on dense nutrient media for the isolation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. It includes sputum pretreatment with NALC-NaOH, incubation and centrifugation. Then, the sediment is inoculated into test tubes with a slanted solid nutrient medium, incubation of the inoculations in a thermostat at 37°C until the appearance of mycobacteria colonies, no more than 90 days from the date of incubation. The method differs in that before inoculation, 0.5 ml of a mixture containing 50 mg of Amphotericin B per 100 ml of the Pyobacteriophage complex preparation is added to the tubes, and after inoculation, the tubes are kept in an inclined position for 30 minutes before incubation.

EFFECT: increasing the frequency of detection in the clinical material of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex by the cultural method by reducing the initial contamination of the test material with concomitant fungal-bacterial microflora.
