FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for activation of wheat seeds during germination and production of microgreens is proposed, including treatment of seeds with an aqueous germatranol solution. Seed soaking is carried out for 2 hours, using working germatranol solutions in the range of concentrations from 0.001 to 0.0000000001% with subsequent sowing of seeds on substrate of mineral wool, wetted to full saturation with water, with irrigation as it dries. Germination is carried out at a temperature of 23-24°C for 7 days.
EFFECT: method provides obtainment of germinated wheat seeds with high values of total antioxidant activity, which allows for use of both germinated seeds and their microgreens on this basis for creation of functional food products with increased biological activity.
