METHOD FOR PERFORMING A SET OF GYMNASTIC EXERCISES Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2787223 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of physical therapy, namely to an application of drug-free technology for the purpose of preserving and promoting human health, performing rehabilitation of disabled people, children, the elderly, and injured (combatants), as well as preventing diseases, correcting health and posture disorders. The vertebral column is self-stretched isometrically by consecutively bending the lumbosacral and cervical spine as far as possible and securing the position by isometrically tensioning the intervertebral and paraspinal muscles as long as possible, followed by smoothly transitioning to bending the lumbosacral and cervical spine in the opposite direction as far as possible. All movements herein are performed in the supine, and/or standing, and/or sitting position, wherein full rhythmic deep breathing is performed when entering the isometric state and throughout the isometric tensioning of the muscles of the vertebral column maintaining the bend through the tensioning of the intervertebral and paraspinal muscles and stretching of the spinal ligaments. Said cycle of full rhythmic deep breathing is repeated from 5 to 10 times, followed by postisometric relaxation through tensioning and relaxing the intervertebral and paraspinal muscles by inclining the body in the standing or sitting position forward and backward, right and left, and simultaneously turning the body and head right and left. Complete relaxation of all skeletal muscles is then achieved in the supine position.

EFFECT: higher effectiveness and shorter duration of the set of gymnastic exercises promoting the release of cramped intervertebral discs and nerve roots of the spinal cord, increasing the elasticity of ligaments, enhancing the blood supply to all parts of the spine and the entire paravertebral region.
