FIELD: photocatalysis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of photocatalysis. A catalyst for the process of photocatalytic production of hydrogen from an alkaline solution of triethanolamine under the action of visible radiation with platinum particles deposited on the surface of graphite-like carbon nitride g-C3N4, having a composition of 0.5 wt.% Pt/g-C3N4 and characterized by the following parameters is described: 80 m2/g, pore volume 0.27-0.33 cm3/g, particle size 15-18 nm. A method for preparing the above catalyst is described, which consists in thermolysis of the supramolecular adduct melamine-cyanuric acid in air at a temperature of 550°C for 2 h to obtain graphite-like carbon nitride g-C3N4, impregnation of g-C3N4 with a solution of platinum nitrate in acetone, followed by reduction of platinum in a stream of hydrogen, resulting in a catalyst having a composition of 0.5 wt.% Pt/g-C3N4 and characterized by the following parameters: specific surface 66-80 m2/g, pore volume 0.27-0.33 cm3/g, particle size 15-18 nm. A method for the photocatalytic production of hydrogen from an alkaline solution of triethanolamine under the action of visible radiation at a temperature of 20°C for 1.5 hours, in the presence of the catalyst described above, is described.
EFFECT: obtaining a catalyst with high activity in the processes of photocatalytic production of hydrogen from an alkaline solution of triethanolamine under the action of visible radiation.
