SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of preparation for storage and transportation of raw materials of animal origin. The method for preparing musk deer musk for storage and transportation is characterized by cutting the musk deer gland with scissors along the border of the skin pouch and the outer part of the musk deer navel with hair. An incision along the border of the leather pouch and the outer part of the navel of the musk deer is not complete, leaving the neck. Next, the leather bag is opened and the musk is removed with a brush from the inner surfaces of the leather bag. If there are foreign objects and impurities in the musk, they are removed. The musk is dried and the musk and gland of the musk deer are separated into separate portions. Next, the portions obtained are packed into a polymer sleeve so that leather bags are placed on one side of the polymer sleeve and evacuated, then musk is placed on the other side of the polymer sleeve and evacuated. Musk is dried at room temperature for 4-5 hours, while it is distributed in a thin layer over the underlying surface.

EFFECT: proposed method for preparing musk deer musk provides an increase in the safety of musk during storage and transportation without the use of chemical preservatives, allows to save the original chemical composition of musk, and eliminates the decay of leather bags.
