METHOD FOR ADJUVANT RADIOTHERAPY IN PATIENTS WITH PROSTATE CANCER METASTASES IN REGIONAL PELVIC LYMPH NODES AFTER RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61N5/10 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiation therapy, and can be used for adjuvant radiation therapy of patients with prostate cancer metastases in the regional lymph nodes of the pelvis after radical prostatectomy. Radiation exposure is carried out in the mode of moderate hypofractionation with intensity modulation by dynamic arches according to the principle of "simultant integrated boost" on the regional lymph nodes of the pelvis, the bed of the removed prostate gland and simultaneous preventive irradiation of the retroperitoneal lymph nodes. Radiotherapy is carried out in the amount of 25 fractions with irradiation of regional lymph nodes with a single focal dose (SFD) of 2 Gy to a total focal dose (FD) of 50 Gy, a bed of the removed prostate gland with a SFD of 2.47 Gy to SFD of 61.75 Gy and simultaneous prophylactic radiation exposure to retroperitoneal lymph nodes with FD 2 Gy to SFD 50 Gy.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce radiation exposure in surrounding healthy tissues due to the use of radiation therapy technology in the mode of moderate hypofractionation with intensity modulation by dynamic arcs using the "simultant integrated boost" principle.
