FIELD: non-destructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for non-destructive testing of ceramic products by ultrasonic method. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the control to determine the shape of the defect is carried out by a block of ultrasonic transducers with a frequency of 5-10 MHz and a diameter of piezoelements of 10-20 mm by ultrasonic waves emitted and received alternately by a direct ultrasonic transducer and ultrasonic transducers inclined at an angle of 15° to the body of the block, realizing the methods for control by direct and single-reflected beams from the inner wall of the ceramic product by echo- and mirror-shadow methods for control, the shape of the discontinuity in the material of the wall of the ceramic product by the ultrasonic control method is determined using a block of ultrasonic transducers by the maximum amplitude of the ultrasonic wave reflected from the discontinuity and its shading, decrease in amplitude, when passing through the discontinuity, moving the block of ultrasonic transducers along and around the surface of the controlled product, the length of the discontinuity is determined by the displacement of the block of ultrasounds transducers and the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave reflected from the discontinuity, then its equivalent area is calculated, while the angle of inclination of the ultrasonic transducer unit relative to the axis of the controlled product does not change during the testing process.
EFFECT: improving the quality of control of ceramic products of the ogival form.
